One more time

First off I have to say that I could only wish I can do NMM like that Tony. Second, Marmoset you are a very good sculpter for your age. Keep them coming. Lastly here are the changes that I have done to my Female Necromancer. I got a lot of helpful advice to make her look better. Please let me know what you think.

Dang Tony, that blade is awesome! What colors did you use to get the blue?

Antnol - I like the green skin a lot. I think changing the cloth from purple to blue looks better, but I think the coverage needs to be more even. It\'s looking great though.

In the Area that is circled red...on the Light blue shaded area...you need to fill that crack(the line where the 2 peices come together) you need to get some gs and fill that in bro...GREAT JOB THO!!!!!!

Thanks for comments on my dragon- that nasty join has been taken care of since, along with lots of other tidying up, I will try and get updated photos onto photobucket. Now that he is undercoated he is much better lol @antol-looking simply fabulous! @tony-ditto!

@Marmoset - If you are borrowing those peices from the same creature I am working on, I would have to admit that it is one of the worst fitting sculptures I have ever worked. It looks like the tail from the Sisters of Twilight Forest Dragon. I have spent almost 2 weeks trying to get all the gaps filled in.

@johnboy- I agree entirely :mad: it is very hard to stick together indeed! You have guessed the components right-it is the forest dragon, but I used the tail of the classic model because the new one (although a better model in general) is covered in vines and imps etc., which I thought would be rather weird on an oriental-style dragon :) My fixing job for the damn thing involved sculpting new scales :wow: and he stills is a bit wonky.

My first thought was of Lee Marvin in \"Cat Balou\" - he had a stainless steel prosthetic nose :D Hmmmm, wonder if there\'s a mini of that one out there.

Sorry about that, Mick :rolleyes: Just went and looked through some stills from the movie. The hat looks pretty darn close. Nice work with the GS.

Thanks, I know what you mean about his nose, I was trimming the hat brim with my dremmel when it slipped, chopping half his nose off in the process :( ,still, came up pretty close to the original in the end

Ok so here is my wolfen from ME6.

Ive been putting of posting this cause I just cant work out whether I like the paint job or not. I know its shiney I cant fix that at the moment. Anyway I am trying my blending technique and I dont think Ive quite got it yet.

What do you guys think. Will it rate an 8 or am I still in the 7 ball park.

I\'m no expert on ratings and am quite a hard-headed voter myself... I would say this is high 7s. I would certainly round it up to an 8 :)

The shine is killing it somewhat, but that\'s easily sorted. Good choice of colours - the flesh contrasts well with the turquiose. Blades are nicely done.

A 7 for me, but you aint far off. ;)

@Tim: How big is that tank commander? His face is superb.

Once the gloss is gone it will look better. I do think you need a extra highlight on the leg bands and a pure white on the swords (if you are using GW white you can go whiter - get a good quality acrylic platinum white). Could also try adding a red glaze around the eyes perhaps for a bit more character and perhaps some runes on the swords.
I think you will be scoring high 7\'s at the moment but it is hard to tell with the gloss.

scott - he\'s 7cm from the top of his head to where his torso finishes. he still shiny as hell and i have just noticed that his left eye looks weird (you can\'t really notice in real life). also his hands look a little flat but i am at a loss at what to do for that. heres a new pic:

Hi all.

Well i am still working on my templar marshal. Not much left a bit of cleaning up here and there. Started a templar chaplain as well I really like this fig and he is turning out quite nice.

Tell me why does everybody paint and only a few are makin terrain? It is a big shame! Terrain makin is more fun! Believe me I have been paintin for more than 8 years and it is easier and boring;] At least I feel that way.

This is my wip. More than 500 hours of work. Built literally from scratch. There are more than 1500 tiles on the roof, about 2000 bricks laid... It is a thing of passion. I could paint whole armies in that time. people usually underestime the effort put into single model... would you believe I am working on this for 3 years?:eek:
