I love this guy, and I think he turned out great. (I am also not much of a painter). I may touch some things up here and there, depending on public opinion and if anything comes to mind, but he\'s full of character.
Sorry about the small size of the images, the camera I\'m using now doesn\'t have much of a resolution to speak of - I hope that it\'s still clear enough to make out, though.
It looks amazing, jamsessionein.
A matter of a great conversion with some good painting.
What I really like though is how coherent your army looks like.
@ talonicus: I would think that the edge highlight on the left inner arm band would not be so bright all the way up to the top. The one on the right arm is there and then tapers up into a less distinct highlight wereas the left arm band just has a single strength line from bottom to top. (All references are from the minis point of view not the photos)
johnboyjjb you are completely right about the arm highlight. Another persons view is so helpful, you look at your own minis for so long that you notice flaws the others dont see and fail to notice the obvious ones. Thanks
for gold- bestial brown+chaos black as a background, and then, usind blending- bestial brown, bestial brown+sunbrush yellow, sunbrush yellow, sunbrush yellow+skull white, skull white.
Yep, both looking great! But Russiandragon, I would recommend making the bit of the axe where the handle joins silver, because at the moment, although the effect is good, it looks more like the rusty colour is warpaint rather than rust. Apart from that, your paintjob as a whole is looking great!
