demonhunter: looks pretty cool :) but I think maybe the fist could be filed down more on the top to make it flatter, \'cause it seems a bit big and 3D for iconography. Other than that, very good, look forward to seeing it painted!

happy painting

@Demonhunter-same as Marmoset said. Fist looks odd....needs to be filed lots more. Seems too bulky for iconography but the idea is good.

Thank you for you kind words, Bill. Freehand on the shield looks great, but for the wine, maybe wash in some purple, or else it resembles blood  If anyone else has some feedback, it\'d be greatly appreciated. :)

Hi All! This is 90% self sculpted nurgle demon with banner-commsion work- as client requested it supposed to be fat, and ugly ;) He will ride on beast of nurgle so thats why he got such a wide spreaded legs. Banner is freehand inspired by beautiful work of Allan C, demon itself is inspired too by sculpted demon by Thomas. Still a lot to be finished - thnx for any comments.

long time no posts in w.i.p so heres my techmarine

techmarine-1.jpg

A very dark dirty colour-scheme, all will be nmm but at the moment only about 20% finished (i still have the whole servo harness and base after this :()

what do you all think, i\'m thinking of redoing the red a little brighter, but i dont want it to be too bright and completely spoil the mood of the mini, what does everyone else say?

You\'re a genius russiandragon! :bouncy: but I would try some stronger highlights on the horse and maybe his hooves, he looks slightly flat in comparison to the rider. :flip: Still looks fantastic!

happy painting

P.S. please can I have some more feedback on my ogre, people? cheers  :innocent:

@Bill- I think that your freehand on the dragonsheild could use some defining (maybe thinned-down black to help bring out the dragon\'s details and the water).

@Brokenblade- I suggest making the reds a bit lighter, because it will be easier to spot the details and it will look even better (yes, better than it is now, believe it or not!). :)

more yellowness...

aspringer2.jpg

I think this one lacks definition because its nothing but flesh and needs something to break it up... ideas?

Purple giraffe-ish pattern on schoulders/back, maybe?

Cukier, really love that demon!
Brokenblade, you\'re a sick man. Like, I want your hands. Badly. The red is just fine as is, maybe think about it again once the NMM is done? For now, I\'d leave it that way.

Now something of my own...

White Dwarf I\'m doing for the WOH auctions... almost done, only the horns on the helmet and Axe-shaft and the jewels in the beard to go... and the base finished. Not going to do anything fancy to the base, as it\'s to be sold, so it will fit anywhere... I\'m thinking of doing some Gold NMM-ish freehand on the inside of the cape (left hand back), to distinguish it from the out side... comments?

@RD- The Horse needs more highlights. As does the bone. Otherwise very nice.

@Cukier- Very nice. Something seems off on the banner pole though.

@BB- Agreed, the red is too dark. The shoulder armor looks fantastic.

Yet again... Here are my chosen chaos Khorne knights. Allllllmost done.

There is some great stuff in this thread at the moment.

@Russian Dragon. Your mini is looking great, but I think the horse needs more definition, it is looking flat compared to the rider.

@Marmoset the base for your ogre has started welL. I agree though that your shield lacks definition. Maybe a couple more thin layers of paint would help along with the tidying up of the freehand edges.

@BrokenBlade. The armour is looking really good. I personally like the red, I think the photo may be making it look darker than it is.

@Brandlin I think godlikebuthumble\'s suggestion for your yellow peril would make him fit in well with your last one. Maybe some trill like spots down his back.

Well its been another slow week of painting for me. This chaplain is taking forever but I have a bit more done.
Comments welcome please.

Converting two warmachine warjacks

I have finished converting the second one, added a flag and some other details. The first one still needs some work. Wanted to get away from those static poses most Khador jacks seem to have.

On the green thing - It\'s hard to see the detail of the sculpt. There is no definition - everything just looks green. Not to say that it is horrid - just difficult to tell.

The gollum looks good except the center of his back is awfully red. I thought it would be more pasty since the lava is below him.
