SNNAAPPP. That blue is awesome. I love it. What color is it. The mini is beautiful. You are becoming one of my favorite painters.

It should raise alot of money for the charity.

Thank you, Ogrebane!!!

As for the blue, which one? There are three blues there :) If you mean the dress, it\'s Hawk Turquoise, Ice Blue, Skull White :)

It\'s not enough that I\'m fond of those spellsinger sculpts, now you have to paint one too? I love it! Very clean and simple execution. I do think that the hair could use some extra highlighting, though.

That awesome blue reminds me a lot of the color on your Celestine conversion... (have to be honest I liked it more on the Celestine, but obviously the spellsinger\'s amazing too) I remember bidding $300 for that one and not getting it *tear*

Thank you guys!

Indeed, the blues of the dress are exactly the colors I used on Celestine (described above). However, there were much stronger highlights on Celestine, and I only used the blue as a base, or a shade, if you will. Here, I wanted to make it a dominant, solid color. Also, I wanted to stick to the traditional Wood Elf look, since this miniature is for Works of Heart auction.

IMHO you can do it better. Good color pattern but looking too flat. Blue is realy nice, but leafs, skin and hairs not enough juicy. I`we see similiar model on this forume, she also have the same problem, not enough life, not enough of clear and bright highlihts. I vote 8 and belive what you can paint her better.

Kirill, thanks a lot for your comments! I\'ve heard similar comments about some other miniatures of mine and I know that sometimes (not always though!) I don\'t give them enough contrast. Hard to explain why, it really depends on a miniature. I\'ll keep that comment in mind for future.

There\'s yet another problem, and I hope to fix it soon: my camera :D, it gives somewhat blurry images even when in focus.

Yes, 10 is gooood. Mine\'s only 3. It\'s a very simple camera, actually. Canon PowerShot A70. Has tons of problems trying to focus on macro regime. *sigh*

I love how your photos always look so bright, I have so much trouble getting shots like that.

She looks awesome, as the others have said the blues are beautiful. I think the only thing I would change is her hair, the back looks a little flat. Otherwise though she\'s great. :)

Very sharp and well-focused picture!

As for me, I am actually considering something SLR-ish, because I want it not only for miniatures but other stuff too.

lovely piece of work Margo.

I\'ve just got a new lens for my D-SLR as recommended by Spacemunkie - it could be very scary indeed.
The SLR has been a great choice - just took picture\'s of my son\'s christmas production in very low light conditions without a flash - impossible with other cameras. And DSLRs are getting cheaper now, Margo, as new models come out.

AAARRRRGGGHHHH......

One day I\'ll get as good as this.... Maybe:(

Margo, I love the skin and the face buuuuteeful. The hair looks a little flat to me, and I\'m of two minds on the blue dress. Looks good, and heres the but a little to hard on the highlights.

just my two coppers
