Congratulations to all the Winners.. I went to the first world expo and I can only imagine how this one was.

So when and where is the next one does any one know yet? 3 years is it?

About the only way Im going to make it is if I start saving now.

Im not sure.. I want to say either 1993 or 94. It was in Washington DC.

Italy
Switzerland (Montreux)

not sure who won (my money on Montreux as they have the concert facilities in place)

as I understand it, there were no bidders from North America!

Well thats to bad.. means like a $3000.00 trip to go to a miniature show

Yeah, I\'d say it was! And it was nice meeting you, even though it was just briefly.

Actually, it was a totally mind-blowing experience. I\'ve had the best 4 days ever and the best thing was definitely all the people I\'ve met, talked to and got to know. That totally over-shadows getting the medal. I\'m currently emptying my camera to my hard drive and I\'ll see to getting some pics online in the next couple of days. Also, I\'m going to try and photograph my two new minis I did special for the Expo and get them posted.

Great pic. Some of the entries are astounding.
One thing I noticed, was the dwarf slayer which recently took a sword at the French GD i think.

I think that minis shouldn\'t be allowed to \'tour\' the painting comps. This is something that really gets me. Personally if i were a judge of a comp, if I saw something that had previously been entered into another show, it simply wouldn\'t even get as look in.:flame:
