very odd...
I have been seriously thinking about this very topic just recently.
I think it could be very interesting, but like u4-welcome said, those are some of the toughest shading colors...
I remember reading an article about this in a magazine called \"Amazing Figure Modeler\"
http://www.amazingmodeler.com/
Anyhow, the article dealt with some of the \'classic universal monsters\'. Boris Karloff as frankenstien and Bela Lugosi as Dracula. The artist painted these kits as if you were looking at the old B&W movies, and I think the effect was incredible...
But, the scale of those miniatures is much greater than that of \'our\' minis. The smaller scale miniatures seem to have to have \'overexaggeration\' to make them stand out, but it doesn\'t mean it cannot be done.
What I was planning on doing was finding a color pic of whichever mini I had decided to try this on. Then, using a photo editor, just convert it to \"grayscale\" and use that as a guide for the paint.
I hope you try it out Itchy, and let us see the results. I will try it too, just to see what I can come up with....
good luck!
ps..If I can find the article I was mentioning, I will see if there are any helpful tips to latch onto...
