Yup, I was on the happy pills for a while as well. They helped \'smooth me out\' but at the risk of not giving two shits about anything.

Now I\'m back, as unbalanced as ever!!:beer:

I’ll keep my feelings, pain and all.......... other wise I might as well be a veggie.

Happy pills are ok if I’m seeing a dentist or having surgery.... then I want to be in the frame of mind of not giving two shits about anything.

To be honest to your question .......No.
I\'d far rather have feelings and be capable of expressing them however painful or joyfull they can be, than to so cut off that I couldn\'t understand or empathise with another person.

Pain can be hard to bear as can many emotions but they\'re what make us who we are. And, very occassionally you get to exeperience some of the good ones, the joy of seeing your newborn baby, the excitement of falling in love, the ecstacy of watching You\'ve Been Framed and the world is suddenly the amazing place it should be.

Iv\'e been through an absolute shitstorm recently! All I could do was trim my sails and find a way through. Things still suck, but not as much, plus I have other things to look to. Always find something beautiful, even if it is sitting in the middle of the mess.

Wouldn\'t trade the pain for all the money in the world, makes the happy moments all the better. My personal example:

I get fired, wife leaves, but since I\'m kicked out of the house, I\'m sleeping over my parents house one night with my daughters while I have them for the weekend. I was feeling all sad and moody in the middle of the night, couldn\'t sleep. My five year old rolled over, woke up and gave daddy a peck on the cheek. Grabbed her bear and rolled back over again, right back to sleep. I\'ve never felt so happy as that moment, and it wouldn\'t have meant half as much without the pain that preceded it. That moment was definitely worth it!
