Hey guys first post here. I've been painting miniatures again for about 10 months now. The last time I touched a paintbrush before that was back in the 90's when I was a kid. I gotta say I love this hobby and am always up for critiques and/or criticism because I believe it will only make me better.
With that being said, here is my latest project from start to finish. My main focus on this piece was a custom base from scratch that would really stand out as this is going to be a centerpiece of my Eldar Army. Thanks to Dave Paints for the inspiration on the color scheme of the knight himself.
1. Basic base using cork board, sand, plastic tubing and copper wire..
2. Dead carnifex. First time trying a custom sculpted model for a base
3. Primed
4. Added the base colors
5. Primed and scuplted
6. Added some additional detail to the base; plants, highlights, etc
7. Final details on the carnifex and base..
8. Fitting time again..
9. And the final stance
