How\'s about actual withdrawal after not painting for a weekend....
not actual shivers, but being cranky and stuff.....

spending more time on this forum than actually doing what i\'m supposed to do (that actually brought down my mark on my internship lol , i still scored a 7 though)....

knowing exactly what people mean by bad tasting paint (and while the classic citadel fleshwash doesn\'t taste too nice, it\'s still an earthy taste, unlike the chemical taste the new foundation paints seem to have)

working as an intern on a buildingsite, i find myself looking for cool things to use on my bases (so far, i\'ve collected a couple of kilo\'s of concrete to sand smooth and use as plinths) and scrutinising the scratches and danger stripes on all the heavy machinery

having to restrain oneself from starting too many projects at once

having to restrain oneself from talking about painting too often (and boring the &@#%$ out of my GF)

When you sit and paint till 3am, when you know you have to be at school at 9am (BTW, dont try that 6 months straight, not healthy...)

You guys should count yourselves lucky you dont have to use the old citadel colours (aka expert paint set) They tasted like s%$t, really did. If you wanna try em out for yourself I think Coat d\'arms is the new name of the company that makes them.

That is actually a good thing. Why buy a house that does not suit your needs?

Also, you know you are addicted to painting when painting becomes more arousing than the opposite sex :bouncy:

what:eek:
painting is never more attractive than the opposite sex...
that\'s crazy talk...

i still use the original gw paint sets...
20 year old paints that are still good to go, what a novel concept...
i di actually get some of the salamander green from the original marine paint set on my tongue the other day...
sent a shiver up my spine like cheap tequila...
nasty...

cheers
jah

The problem was Alien, that the rest of the house was perfect, that was the deciding factor. Perhaps I should have clarified that.

The wife was NOT happy about it either lol.

I have shaved the mold lines off a chocolate bunny. But then again I was able to eat them so it wasn\'t all bad.

I also tend to use my paints as a reference for fabric colors when decorating. I just find the bottle that matches what I want and take it to the store. Works great.

You know you\'re addicted to painting minis when you create additives to make paint taste nicer and hold your own mini convention.

*Points at Rastl* lol

I don´t know about you guys, but I knew I had a problem when I spilled a particular can of paint on a 600 dollar carpet, and got upset bc I had to stop painting to go and buy another 5 dollar can of paint...

you know it\'s a problem when your wife points out that you\'ve spent more on mini\'s in the last year than you have on all of her birthday/christmas presents combined.

You mean you don\'t give her finished minis as gifts?

You know you\'re addicted when....

Your fingers have bent along the tips from a mixture of jewellery and painting.

You find that your lips have a shade of whatever main colour you were working with.

You have dreams of painting.

Your wishlist at any site is always bigger than your cart.

You plan what miniatures you are going to paint several in advance.

You know you are addicted to minis when....
during a discussion with your girlfriend, you say \" I have been painting minis before you showed up and will still be painting after you walk out that door\"

You know you are addicted to painting when you have found ways to prolong your life to live long enough to paint all of the minis you own before you die.

If I start painting now and do not stop until I have completed all of the minis I own I should be done by the time I am 84.

Hey, if the discussion was her wanting you to give up your hobby... I\'d say it was warranted. Otherwise... ouch!

WRT relationships, I\'d say you\'re \"addicted\" when there\'s a naked man/woman standing there impatiently and you\'re saying \"I\'ll come to bed soon honey, just let me finish this pouch/sword/face\" :)

*Points at Rastl* lol

You\'re just jealous I now have internationally known paint additives AND a convention named after my online persona.

Sadly, I don\'t get to paint at my convention.
