Your favourate mini company and your least fav\'

Mine is GW with Warhammer competing closely with Rackham and their confrontation. After that comes Reapermini and its wide variation of models.
Beyond that are companies I\'m not fond of, but I do appreciate - Privateer press, don\'t know much others. Wargods is OK

I dislike Hasselfree and mageknight, if you could call MK miniatures at all.

Freebooter has lots of cool stuff, thanks to Werner Klocke.

I love Ilyad\'s new barbarians, but the rest of their minis I\'m not generally that fond of.

I like a lot of GW\'s 40k stuff.

Rackham has some cool stuff too, but many of their minis feel soulless, if anyone knows what I mean. And I\'m not really in to the whole anorectic thing they have going with their minis (though that has become a lot better lately).

Have to say GW, think they have ALOT of great minis, a wide varity and some great games.

I haven\'t really explored many other companies, but mini wise I have my eye on Dark Age, Urban War and a few others...

A bad company would be a company, to me, that makes crappy minis with crappy details...

Wow yet another chance for GW bashing... seems to be a plethora of that lately.

I like Rackhams stuff the best thus far, but I haven\'t tried too many mini companies out yet. I really like the look of the Privateer Press stuff though, but have yet to pick any up to see if I like them in hand. The stuff I have been seeing from Cruch Waffle has really impressed me as well.

As for GW, I just miss the Citadel days when their fantasy models had character, back when you bought a pack called \"Warrirors\" and your 30 man unit could be made with 30 totally unique models without having to convert. I haven\'t bought a 40K model in years, but they seem \'fluffy\' now, as in too much fluff, I think I prefer the old beakeies and Rogue Trader Figs.

Edit: missed the least fave. That would be Wizkids. They put out unpainted models as well as the MK and Clix stuff and I wasn\'t impressed at all.

My favorite is Games Workshop as thats the ones I have had most experience with,
2nd Front Rank
3rd Reaper
4th Rackham This may go up when I get better at painting.
5th wargames foundry

I have not had enough experience with the others to comment. Although Privateer Press impress me, also spyglass hasslefree, etc and Game zone.

No negatives on companies, only the occasional mini from most of them.

I have always had a bit of a soft spot for Ral Partha. Not as good now as they used to be, but still nice.

Thunderbolt mountain is also one of my favs.

GW is good.

I don\'t much care for Lancshire, sure they are cheap, but if I wanted squared figures I would be buying gumby mins.

It is what people make it out to be, if you don\'t like GW, fine :D Say it, as people will say that they like it as well... and from what I can see... it\'s pretty liked so far ;)

... ok... your opinion, but then you should go look a bit closer.. Characters are the ones that are supposed to stand out from the croud, rank and file are nothing and look alike... look at reality, and you will see exactly that...

I personally love Reaper\'s mini\'s. Lots of character and plenty of choices for roleplaying.

As for my least favorite company I would honestly have to say Games Workshop. I find I lot of their sculpts to be rather booring and lacking detail and their cost per mini is generally higher than I am willing to pay.

I dont know that much about other companies besides GW. I love Rackman stuff (I have 3 minis) and reaper put out some good stuff as well. I have quite a few Grendier minis (They look like old GW stuff).

I dont like any of the prepainted stuff like Whizkids and mageknight.

I\'ve too many favorites...

I can usually find something in any line that I like....GW, Privateer Press, Wyrd, Hasselfree, Heresy, Pulp Figures, Copplestone, Alpha Forge,Infinity, etc. etc.

My least favorite? I will choose Rackham. Don\'t get me wrong, they make fantastic stuff, I am just not into it.

Well, my favorite has to be Dennis MIze\'s naked chicks ( may he rest in peace or party hearty ) and Hasslefree. Some of the Reaper Sophie sculpts are great also, and Reaper females do have nice faces. I like the Warjacks of PP, and several of the Confrontation pieces ( especially the new Dragon ) GW has made some good character pieces, such as Inquisitor\'s, St Celestine, and some good Demons.

The worst has to be Parker Brothers, I mean sure the dog and the race car are cool, but the Monopoly hat and the moneybag are crap and my 5 battleships look just like my opponents. Go figure.

Favorite - Tie - Reaper and Old Ral Partha

Least Favorite - Got to go with the GW group - although I do own several GW figs.

And DS rank and file can have character - no two humans look the same, so why should R&F in a WFB army look the same?

Sure, Space Marines in 40k should have a uniform look overall, but even in the uniform look there can be variation. Trust me, no two troops carry their gear in the same spot on their armor.

This may not be the answer your looking for but I basically like them all..and I dislike them all.. every company makes some Sweet Kick @ss miniatures.. and they also all do some butt ugly dogs.

Basically I buy what i think is cool.. from anyone..and everyone. im a equal oppertunity hoarder :p

If I had to pick one that realy capturesmy imagination I would say either Ilyad Games or Sacred Blade, if I were to go on the ones that I have painted most of then it would be GW\'s LOTR range. I realy don\'t have a defiante favourite as they are mostly all cool. Top 10 would be

Ilyad Games
Rackhams
GW
Sacred Blade
Andrea
Heresy
Freebooter
Warcrow
Wyrd
Hasslefree

and the one I like the least as the sculpting is too hit and miss is Alternative Armies, I like the stuff from the Sci Fi range namely the Crusaders but the rest is realy pants.

For me it\'s

Rackham
Privateer Press
Illiayd

GW would have been there if they wern\'t starting to make everything in bloody plastic, and charge the high prices.
I think this plays a factor in what you do and don\'t like.
