Hey guys. I wanted to start this topic here. Feel free to post your pics as well. The first miniature you painted when you were first lurking, or posting on this site. Now im sure we will see come surprising results. Lets do it! This is my behind. :moon:

I returned to painting doing up 6 or 7 horses, and this was the last one I did (making this mini #8), as a Christmas gift to my mother. I attempted a diorama, with instruction from an Large Bases(Updated) article on this site. For the trees I used a guide found in the LOTR rule book. (i had done the trees back in the day).

This is a horse from a Rohan Rider (LORT GW line). I also did some minor shading, no washes, just layering. I had no mettalics at this point, so the head plate is still in progress. :p

here u go...

This was painted for the groundforge painting contest nov 2004.

Since then most of my stuff has been painted for D&D, so just high end table top mainly. And my WH army stuff is mainly rush painted since I hate painting regiments...

My best works in terms of painting are my Paris GD entry and my upcoming Toronto entry, of which I will place pics once they are done :)

That Inquisitor bears a striking resemblence to Inspector Jacques Clouseau (the Peter Sellers version at least). Quality! Imagine the damage Inspector Clouseau could cause with the technology of the 41st millenium behind him.

All you other D-iablos are just immitating. So who\'s the real D-iablo? Please stand up, yeah please stand up, please stand up. Stick up both of those horns on your head, yeah real straight up.
I\'m sorry, but I couldnt resist. It was his fault! lol

This is probably one of the first minis I painted AFTER starting to frequent CMON in early 2002:

(there are others in my gallery which are from pre-CMON times but they are not substantially different)

This is my latest mini (not counting the the WW2 stuff, which is not painted to my current highest standard):

This guy would have been on par with my best work (probably better actually) before I found CMON:

Heh I had hoards of drybrushed stuff up, but I think my first serious mini (they are all serious really) that displayed some techniques I wasn\'t exposed to before the interweeb was this guy...

After 3 years, I seem to be still painting the same damn things.....

A more recent submission.

Not trying to fish for compliments, but do you think I have had ANY improvement?

The photo quality is much better, but since I know what both minis look like in real life, I am thinking I haven\'t changed or improved....

That is your ninth mini! You should be slapped for being so good. Please tell me you already had an art background.
