@Supervike: If I may say so, I think that you have made alot of progress. I especially like the skin on the recent one. I\'d say there is quite the difference.

Another interesting vomparison would be for two barbarians I painted - one right at the beginning of my time here on CMon and the other one really very recently... can you tell which is which?

one was uploaded 28/11/02 and the other 09/04/06 (British dates)

Supervike, I think you\'ve definitely improved. The voting has become tougher though, so I think many things that would have got 8-9 a few years ago only get around the 7 mark now.

Well, the first mini I uploaded to Cmon, almost 2 years ago (has it been that long?!) was this:

It was actually painted before I found Cmon.

My last one is, in my opinion, not my best miniature to date, but since we\'re talking about our latest work:

Not much of a difference!

Definitely. Most obviously your shadowing is much better and you don\'t blackline in the same cartoony fashion (not meant to be insulting, but like a cartoon where all the outlines are black and whatever color is used to fill in).

Though I think your second one is hurt by the lack of purple and green checkered pants.

Yes, I have often thought that the checkered pants could help any score....lol

GALANTE...Egads man, you have improved greatly. I agree your latest isn\'t your best work, but just look how smooth the paint is, and how well the blends are done. Good stuff!

I love this stuff........I always drew pictures of WH 40K stuff i just didnt know it.....then, alas, i found WH 40k at 26 yrs old and the kid woke up just in time to start painting (enough to disrupt my medical studies, but whateva). Here is my 1st mini ever....

went from a 5 to an 8.....
pretty happy ( i dont put too much stock in scores, but you can definatly tell a difference.)

whats neat is you can look through my gallery and see my paints slowly thinning down and my technique getting better.....
