Something I've noticed about myself in the last few years....
Whatever I seem to be 'into' at the moment for entertainment is now determining my miniatures interests.
For instance...Played a bunch of Red Dead Redemption on XBOX, now I've gotten into several cowboy minis (never interested me before)
Started getting into reading Marvel Comics online, and now I've purchased several 'knight models Marvel heros' to correspond.
Zombie movies and Left 4 Dead has accounted for my modern zombie horde, discovering Lovecraft has me looking for Cthulhu-esque stuff...
Currently reading the Conan stories and sure enough, I'm trying to find Conan minis now. I haven't been into a 'fantasy' mini for at least 5 years!
I think it's a couple of reasons why this is...
1. Miniatures have become less typecast and span a wide range of subject manner.
2. I have a single track mind, and strangely it's not boobies....
So what say you? Do you stick with the same tried and true mini genre, or does other influences determine your preference?
