hehe, then you\'re not going to believe what I\'m going to tell you right now:
Currently I have only one unpainted mini that I\'m not planning on painting in the near future. I have a small amount of unpainted minis (like less than 10), but they are all meant for one of my current projects.

Steve - did I miss it - did you ever sculpt for IKore - there seems to be some close resemblance (compliment) in style.
Personally, I tend to buy in factions - like every Reaper Orc so I have a good squad of figs to pit against say, every Reaper Black Legionnaire. Are you going to do variants on what you have or will they all be one offs?

Steve - these first minis are great
what i want to see:
i dont really care what the mini is as long as it has a good pose, and you seem to have the talent for producing this type of mini, keep it up.

I\'ve just been putting some minis in my cart at the cmon shop just to see what the shipping costs are going to be, and I must say these are quite high...
If I would order one of each spyglass miniatures (so 3 miniatures worth 18 USD in total) I would pay 15 USD for the shipping costs.
I think I should also try to find other interested people (like cenobyte) to do a combined shipping, because this is simply too expensive!

Corvus, I think something might be wrong with the shop. I just tried running through the cart system.
Postage to Europe for one figure is $3
Postage to Europe for more than one is $15
That doesn\'t add up. As it is now, it\'s cheaper to order each figure on a separate order. I can\'t imagine that is right.
I will get this looked into.

Kat - I would like to do a Dragon but that\'s abig project and a long way off. Weird creatures depend on the weird creature at hand. Sometimes they can just be difficult to sell. But it\'s all possible.
Flashman - One offs for the time being but who knows what the future may bring. I never worked for I-Kore (I nearly did once) but Kev White is one of the guys who has inspired me.

I agree. If you know anyone with a copy of the game Magic Realm, I recommend you look at the characters for inspiration. Basically they cover 16 archetypes of fantasy literature.
Personally I\'m building up a set of minis that bear similarities to the game characters for play with the game. You\'d be surprised how limited the basics are out there.
I agree with dauber in that it is nice to see good quality, imaginative minis that aren\'t from a major figure line. The minis are very dynamic and I especially like the succubus. My order for at least two of each will be placed mid August. I too am currently working on the cmon Amazon for the competition, (while I have no delusions of winning, I am hoping for my best rating yet.)

these are the cenobItes, my friend... the race of the cenobytes lives in piece instead and was only born to turture other peoples nerves. i am more a mini demon, than one of flesh and hooks and chains...

I think this is a great thing! I really love that we have an opportunity to by some new pieces from the sculptor himself. I like even more that you chose to sell through the CMON store and I for one have already placed my order. I look forward to seeing more of your work, and buying it as it becomes available!

First of all, I like the idea of you \'speaking\' to the customers. Finding out the likes/dislikes is a very important process in itself.
What I would really love to see:
A series of the same recurring character:
Take for instance the barbarian fellow you use for your avatar:
I\'d like to see more than just one pose of the same fig. Maybe have the same Barbarian in leather armor, winter gear, riding a horse, as an older man, with a beard...I think you get the idea.
The recurring character thing would be incredible not just for folks who play RPGs or wargames, but for people like me who want to be able to \'tell stories\' through a diorama.
Even taken a step further you could have the same guy in futuristic garb, as if he had time travelled.
The possibilities are endless. Think of it as a \'fashion accessory barbie\' for mini-lovers!

Okay, I got the shipping costs on the site looked at and they were indeed still not correct. Everything should be fixed now. And, just in case ther\'s a problem still, here\'s what the rates are supposed to be.
Rates are for any quantity of figures.
US - $3
Europe - $5
Asia - $7

I don\'t think you should do the evolution of the figure idea just yet, like the old 3-part wizard figure that Ral Partha did all those years ago. It might hurt sales -- if one someone doesn\'t like the figure, they won\'t buy any of that set. (But people are more likely to buy a set of figs if they like one individual...)
I like the fact that they\'re all one piece sculpts. They end up being very sturdy-feeling, which is something that is missing with some lines (like Rackham... )

Vincegamer - I had noticed how difficult it is getting to find the character archetypes these days. All the minis companies are trying to be too clever. Hopefully you can expect some decent staple characters from Spyglass.

I\'d rather work on a broad spectrum of figures to flesh out my ranges than sticking to a small number with variants. But I will keep the thought. Never know what the future may bring.
