Okay, I got the shipping costs on the site looked at and they were indeed still not correct. Everything should be fixed now. And, just in case ther\'s a problem still, here\'s what the rates are supposed to be.

Rates are for any quantity of figures.

US - $3

Europe - $5

Asia - $7

Anybody know if those of us who placed an order before the broken shipping got fixed will get the corrected price charged to us? :)

Miniature Wish List..

The minis I would like to see include:

A female gnome.

A mounted female figure, perhaps several?? (one on a unicorn, please, please) ;)

Modern Minis that do NOT have guns or silly/slinky body suits on--Mostly, I\'d like \"normals\" for things such as Champions or BtVS RPG.

A female dwarf that does not look crazy, rabid, or feral.

Mini wish list

First, I like the mini\'s I\'ve seen. I am personally swamped with unpainted mini\'s at this point so I won\'t be buying right away. I do agree that there is a lack of gnome mini\'s. Sexy or erotic women have been done but they do sell. Regular people or different cultures might be interesting such as ancient Greece, China, Japan,or Africa.

werewolf

just finished reading through the pages of posts... I second the werewolf sugestion.

just came across this site yesterday, so please excuse my ignorance. The spyglass minis caught my attention but also confused me. I kept looking and asking my monitor (which never answered btw) are these the same scale as the GW minis? Do they come painted like the picture? (god no, not for that price) so do they come with that round base? no base? are there others available? do they take paypal?
please help me sort this all out and I will buy them. Just for the record I love the game of Mordheim and play warhammer skirmish battles. Characters are what I look for and I cant stand that GW gets $7.50+ for character minis. I still want Valten but oh the price. do I ramble on like this all the time? yes sorry, I will try to stop now.

Hi elfinboots!

From what you\'ve said I reckon you are going to like this site:bouncy:

I have ordered these minis but I can\'t answer your questions I am afraid, which is a bit sad really I suppose. A lot of people on this site, especially in the forums, are really only interested in painting and collecting, so some of the questions you have posed might not be that important. Well, obviously they weren\'t to me.
They are unpainted, and PayPal is not accepted as yet. That\'s the only two I know for sure.
To get another look at the minis, browse the gallery looking for work by SJB, the sculptor.

We are processing and shipping all the orders today. For the one that ordered early, their shipping will be adjusted to the lower price...

By the end of the week, we should have paypal all worked out

I\'ve just ordered the CMON mini and Katalin Succubus. I shouldn\'t really be buying models right now as I should be saving up ready to move house, but those little bits of metal are just too tempting!

Mr Buddle is certainly a talented sculptor. Very clean sculpts. Who painted those minis though? A very smooth style of highlighting. A touch unreal perhaps, but very nice, and a great way to sell the models (I fell for it after all!).

Don\'t know what I\'d like to see released next though. Surprise me!

:D

Elfinboots - Most of your questions have been answered but I can complete the set by telling you that the Spyglass figures are approximately the same scale as GW figures and should mix pretty well.

Sturm - All painted by me :D Glad you like them.

A man after my own heart!

I do like a bit of smooth highlighting. Not had much opportunity to work to my highest standards recently though (oh, apart from a Tau stealth suit I did the other week perhaps!).

Your sculpting is very nice (I know I\'ve already said it, but I\'ll say it again!). Should be a joy to paint up the figures. I\'ve already got my colour scheme sorted for the succubus - and no, I\'m not letting on yet! It\'s my secret for now!

:D

Thanks Sturm. I must admit I\'m a fan of your work. Good to see a great painter who isn\'t obsessed with NMM.

I hope if you find time to paint the Succubus that you\'ll upload her. I\'d love to see it.

thanks...

for the welcome and the answers. I do like this site, you will be seeing more of my posts in the future. A couple questions more if I may be permited.
What is NMM? How do I get an avatar to show up and is there a size limit? I have one that I frequently use at other forums, I think it may need to be resized to go here. I have a half dozen or so minis that are good enough to put up for public viewing, but most are only table worthy for the games I play. (I NEVER play with unpainted/unfinished minis.)

Rather than hijack this thread .....

By giving you a full response to your questions. Scroll up to the top of the page where this thread is posted and in the top left-hand corner you will see, \'FAQ\' Click on this and it will answer some of your questions. Then check through some of the forum threads, you will see lots called things like \'What is NMM?\" It\'s the most popular question on the site! If you still can\'t find what you need. Ask again.:bouncy:

thanks again

non-metalic metals, well now I know
and as you see, I have an avatar too.
but the question on topic is opinions and suggestions for spyglass minis.
I like what I have seen, and looking over the comments I notice that many good suggestions have been made. so what can we expect to be the next minis coming from spyglass?

Hmmm.. For those of you who are into Werewolf The Apocalypse RPG. I\'ve recently done a character sketch of my Uktena Theurge werewolf (in Crinos) who is called \"Dreams of Torment.\" It\'s at the house where we play, but if I remember at the weekend I\'ll try and bring it back and take a photo of it to post here as a possible concept sketch for Steve\'s new mini line.

Steve if you have an email address I can post you some piccies for the \"other project\" we discussed ;) Or I could bring the pictures along to Games Day if you prefer.;)

Regards

Kat

Keep in mind I can sketch some concept if you like. I was working on one for Mick for his undersea game but he thought it was \"too Rackhamish\".. whatever that means.. :p

I read on some sorta of miniatures news site that the Spyglass minis were \"32mm scale\" which I think means compatible with Games Workshop. I always thought they were supposed to be 28mm but people tell me that \"\"true\" 28mm\" won\'t look right with GW stuff.. ???

Elfinboots - Sorry, forgot to mention but, yes, my figures come supplied with those round bases (but not with the groundwork, they\'re just plain).

My figures are 32mm scale. This means that 32mm = approximately 6 feet in real life. So a regular human would be around 32mm from ground level to the top of their head. This is roughly the size of modern GW figures although they insist on calling them 28mm. For your reference, the GW LOTR figures are true 28mm (yes they are, they are not 25mm) and are noticeably smaller than the rest of the GW ranges.

And what\'s next from Spyglass. Well, I\'m busy as hell right now and it\'s causing delays with my sculpting for Spyglass but I have a few projects including a rather nice Orc :)
