looking good! Can't wait to see them all together!

Also I was looking at your blog and I was pretty impressed with the 20 minute dwarf. Sometimes I wish I could paint faster more than better. I need to have a go at some speed painting. Although I would probably be more motivated if I played more often.

Thanks :) Yeah that was my feeling too with the gobo & dwarf. "I wonder if this would work? Yay it does! Now I can speed paint! But... I don't play anymore...f :curse!:"

Snow effect looks great, but there is one guy without any on his shoulder area. I would think if snow is clinging to their capes it wiuld be up there most. Just my perspective though and a million times better than anything I could so.

Yeah it does look a little sparse compared to the rest, although it is just a pattern and not actual snow. I may go back and fix that, it depends on how much snow is on his base.

I got ya. Well it looks great and I thought it was snow from the pics so well done sir. Kind of makes me want snow on the squig base ;) hmmmm....does it snow in caves?

Well you know... caves do form on mountains, and mountains do have snow, and i did get a whole container of crushed glass for the scouts of which i'll only use a little, so adding snow to the squig base wouldn't be a problem :) Plus then i could do the base in cool tones and use those cool tone to shade the warm colors of the squig...Can you tell i'm sick of scouts and looking forward to the squig? Have I mentioned i hate batch painting? ~sigh~ I know, it's for a good cause ;)

Zab, It's like Karate Kid right before Mr. Miagi shows him that he isn't just sanding his deck, he is learning KARATE! Mini painting KARATE!

Lmao Demi. Just keep your eye on the prize Zab. They are almost done and afterwards you can say no to all other batch painting projects until you forget how much you dislike them again...so in a couple of months I have a nice small unit of skaven slaves when your ready. MUAHAHA!

Oh hellz no! I have to get through my own dark vengeance space marines first. Some idiot decided that would look cool in a split green/bone theme :excruciating: It was me.:wilt:

Speaking of teaching painting...had my first daddy/daughter paint session today! She's always stopped in like Isabella from Phineas & Ferb with a Watchadoing? But today after a trip to Canada's Wonderland and a nap she was all about painting in the painting room with dad and making her fire dolphin "better".

I needed to add some snow stippling to another scout's shoulder anyway (thanks for pointing that out Digga, BTW - it was bugging me, but I couldn't tell why). It didn't take long for her to ask me to break out my paints and brushes because "I have so many and they are all so pretty"

It was a blast and for my first ever painting class I think it went pretty well :brushwave: of course, now that she's got a taste for paint :brushlick:they'll be no stopping her...

Cheers all!

I may invite her to the next AB session just to see what she makes of that. Might have to move it outside though our use the old siphon feed badger to limit the spills if she wants in:nailbiting:

When my wife starts kicking out dismounts (when we decide to have children) I am going
to be brutally honest with them when it comes to Art. "Um, yeah honey, that looks crap. Did you just take a dump and put it on a base? You blend like a pre-schooler. Hey special ed, how about we dilute our paint?" You know, things of that nature, cuz there's no crying in mini painting.

Did I mention I have orders to be a Drill Sergeant? I'm only going to get better at this.

Yeah sure. I had ideas too. Then you meet that little person and it all falls apart - ESPECIALLY if it's your little girl. Doesn't matter who you are or what you do, they own you and they bloody well know it. :curl-lip: Of course my catch phrase with her when she gets hurt doing something stupid (like I used to skating and snowboarding) is: Suck it up buttercup. She took that gem to school, said it to her friends and yet somehow I'm the one who got a talking to from the Kindergarten teacher :curse!:

Oh god your poor parents! They kept forgetting the hard part or mom kept getting the baby bug. That is quite the spread of ages. My wife has 6 siblings she is 6 of 7. They were all one after the other. i can't imagine what it would be like to be pregnant for 7 years straight. :excruciating:
