Zab's Damn it to hell! WIP

The Lady Inquisitor was amazed by how good her skin looked after the dulcote and muttered something about wondering if dulcote would cover up cellulite... and there may have been a muffled "have fun with your vampire whore". I was just way too happy with how I had averted disaster on this one to really listen though :victory:

Miracles apparently :p It's just a matte sealer (from heaven). Very stinky, so use in a well ventilated space and wear a mask.

HA! I knew there was a magic substance used to make all your paint jobs badass. I'm gonna buy a tub and start dunkin my minis. ;p

Odd. The internet ate my reply. I'd never get past the ski hills to attend the contest or workshops. Besides, weekends and vacation are family time so ditching them to attend a workshop I have to travel to and take time off work for is likely not in the cards anytime soon- that's personal choice and not orders from The Lady, BTW. Maybe someday there'll be one super close to, or in Toronto, but until then it's DVDs, the internet and experimentation (Geez, that sounds like high school all over again, blarg) :dont-know:

LOLOLOLOL

Almost choked to death on a half chewed almond.

Well, I tell you I don't know if you get to paint much with other folks live, and I get that painting is a solitary pursuit, but painting with other people in person can be big eye opener. On the other hand, when I come to visit, I bet it will be mostly skiing and drinking :)

rofl!^ :D
That last sentence vaporized any witty reply that was bubbling up in my mind. So I'm just going to stick with saying how lovely that blue-skinned temptress looks.

Actually, the guys over at the Bent Bristle are starting up a local painting group the 1st Sunday of every month and I think i'll move heaven and earth (and evade The Lady Inquisitor) to go. It's not really in my part of town, but its close enough to drive and hang for a few hours and i think that would be great because yeah, sharing techniques and seeing painting done live is the best way to learn new stuff.

That's awesome. I need to move somewhere where there is a painting group. I agree you can learn so much by watching someone.

Yeah like their schedule, their eating habits, when they sleep, what shows they watch... :sinister:

Come on get down/up here Zab, March you have time to plan it :)

Oh I'm already chipping away at The Lady Inquisitor. Dropping little lines like "Miami was such a bust with the weather. If you liked Vermont you'll just die over Mt. St. Anne or Mt. Tremblant. Old QC is so gorgeous." Etc, etc... :snicker:

Got a bit of work done on the Rackham Dwarves. Mid tones done. Now to start laying in deeper shadows and tinting with glazes.

Been taking lots of photos on these so there will eventually be an SBS on my blog.

Cool dwarves man! Seeing how the tones are evolving, that'll be a splendid mini when done.

And oh, with winter sloooowly coming (already had one night of -2° in Belgium, had to scratch my car window once, w00-frickin'-h00!) , or having hit like a sledgehammer in the US & Canada (-33° in some places, eh?), it's the perfect season for painting. Take a desk lightwith day lightbulb, prep a mini-kit with your immediate stuff and install yourself on the coffeetable, close to the blanket-hybernating Lady Inquisitors or She-Who-Must-Be-obeyed. It's win-win.
