Liquid mask issue sounds like it'd dried and stayed on too long.
Stuff I used recommends leaving it no more than A DAY before removal.

Sorry about the layoffs, where I work we been having massive layoffs since 2013, I wonder why I am still there LOL The atmosphere is so bad and ppl have to do the job of 2-3 person now it's insane, I can understand you want out. Be strong bro.

Thanks gang! Yeah DR, i use artists stuff and have removed it with warm water and some gentle rubbing with no problem after a week. I did everything right on this one and it still got screwed. Even the tamiya tape was pulling up paint in places. And i did the whole spray, clear coat, let dry 48hrs, mask. Just one of those kits, i guess. Normally i would be fuming, but the layoffs gave me some perspective and I want to try an new approach and technique anyway so this should be fun the second time around :)

The sword and brush show here in Toronto was a huge success. We had a massive turn out and Mathieu Fontaine and a few other awesome painters showed up to compete and help judge! I am hoping next year we can get some speed painting going. Warcolors offered support (thanks so much for that BTW and I'll hit you up earlier next year and have a good solid number for you on how big the event will be) but with no minis to paint it was dropped. Next year i will buy a lot of bones if i can't get support from reaper and just provide the minis myself.

Also picked up our huge slab of custom cut walnut for the new kitchen table today with the wife. Now we get to spend a few weeks sanding and sealing and polishing my exotic wood o_O Shut it, you know what i mean...ROWR!

Have you watched Romans Jack bust on you tube I don't have a busy yet nor done anything big but wet on wet looks very tempting. If I was on the pc I would link it. But it's worth a watch.

Yep, Kyle's bust is awesome :) He's Canadian ya know? I also watch the painting buddah vids on that very attractive shield maiden bust as well as awaken realms video on how to paint a werewolf from norsgaurd. Leia is definitely going to be brush work and some new styles and techniques! I'm very excited to prep and prime her again - but first, I must battle the last of the fallen leaves -_-

I'm so glad that you're still excited about her - I think that she'll be a rewarding model once you can get into it.

Thanks guys! Right now I am working on a walnut counter top The Lady Inquisitor had ordered. Just finished sanding and water popping to prep for sealing/oils :) Then I was about to start in on Leia when The Lady and Agent of Chaos came in from decorating the front porch with xmas stuff and announced I had gotten a package! My brush box from The MV paint case KS finally arrived so I decided to dive in and have a little fun. Got the front banged out in about 45 min. I had 3 colors sitting out for another art project The Lady and I will be doing so I did my own little 3 color art challenge...

The front was inspired by the The Lady Inquisitor and her curls and dreaded stare o_O The back will be another dangerous looking lady inspired by The Agent of Chaos with white as the dominant color. I guess it's my own personal Pandora's brush box? Maybe more later tonight...
