Oh the distractions keep piling up! Staining counter top and my new laptop arrived so I'll be spending a few evenings setting that up too :) At least they are good distractions!!!!

Oww new toy exciting, look forward to the counter top going to be making a concrete kitchen bench later on. Are you going to rag and rub it on so you get the wood grain coming through nice, or just paint it on? Did a hand rail for a client which turned out amazing with rubbing the stain on (a bit more control). Then polyurethaned it. Happy times.
Oh yeah if you rag it wear some rubber gloves!

Yeah man, sanded & water popping to open up the grain and then i used rubio monocoat. It's a 2 part oil/resin sealer that really makes the grain pop! I practiced on the bottom of the counter top last night (since no one will see it if i screwed up) and it came out ace so now i can tackle the top fearlessly :) Besides, it gave me something to do while my brand new laptop upgraded to windows 10 for free FOR 4.5 HOURS!!! F***in' Win-Doh's, LOL!

A touch yes but then things became clear and i am having some fun now. She's gonna have a touch of face paint, but only one and the rest well, WIP shots in a bit. Have to get comfy with my new computer & PS elements 14 first. How much could it have changed since PS elements 7? o_O Guess I'll find out this weekend!

Everything works on the new laptop and there is no annoying lag with the quad processor! AND all the shortcuts in PSE 14 are all the same! YAY! Pics then?

Shading on skin sort of done with spots and freckles in the dark areas done. Looks harsh and weird but, I am going somewhere with this, I swear!

Now shut up about that and help me with Leia!

Super bright violet/magenta eyes or ultra bright blue eyes? She'll have black hair, white shirt, brown leather corset and brassy colored gun/goggles/shells for the rest of the palette if that helps :) Just stuck on those eyes...

She needs to watch for expiration dates on what she eats. But I actually like this direction. An unexpected surprise

Thanks, I just needed to do something unique with her and get away from the Star Wars vibe. Kind of been drowning in it lately, ya know? Love the franchise, but the sculpt was starting to fence me in and I want to push it on this one since it's a new scale and subject and going to another artist they should get my best. I seem to do my best when I push it and stop being afraid ;)

Violet eyes with blue catch lights.

I like the fact that you're doing something different with her - it makes the project more interesting for you and that can only be a good thing.

Definitely violet eyes bro. I had a green toon I splayed in swtor good times. Oh that table is magnificent! It looks great nice grain and nice and shiny.
