Samurai in the Cherry Blossom Land

About a year ago, I found a very old metal Samurai miniature in my closet and despite its imperfect sculpture something struck me to paint it. My wife still cannot understand why I wanted to paint him, because it was a "clumsy miniature of the early 90s." Then I thought "hmm, could it be a new challenge?", but throughout the year he was watching me unfinished, grinning from ear to ear =) I've painted this Samurai for the Cherry Blossom Tree diorama which patiently waited only for the happiest plasticine Samurai - somehow I got used to calling him that =) The biggest challenge was to paint his armour so it doesn't look "flat", but made of tiny tiles (eg. his blue clothing beneath the armour). For those knowing this still young at that time Samurai is named Zatoichi and for those unknowing: https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-eaEtaMk5waI/V0sn2u539fI/AAAAAAAADO8/biTZCv9tZ00ht9XvVi8nihFf74cWa6kAQCLcB/s1600/zatoichi.gif
