Bloodbowl Ogre - Gnobrot Munch
Hello all! This is the most recent addition to my BB team, the Talabecland Tornados. I wanted to try out various different "weathering" styles both on the armour and the flesh. I really wanted this guy to look like a bruiser that had been playing for a long time. The black eye, scratches, raw knuckles etc. gave me a chance to try out some new techniques. I'm especially happy with the eye. The surrounding area is done with loads of glazes (purple, red, brown, green and yellow) and the eye itself is done in the usual way, but with a red rather than white to give a bloodshot appearance. The pustules/boils/spots on his face didn't come out too well in the photo but I thin they add well to the feel of the model. How often do you reckon an Ogre washes? They're bound to be a bit gross! The gut plate has various rusty scratches etc. and a bloody area. I really liked the idea of some poor lino being on the wrong end of a bull charge! For the base I wanted it to look harsh and cold, so I used a very frosty palette. The standard colours are Scorched then Graveyard then Komando Khaki, with Skull White highlights. The static grass is drybrushed with Bone with a tiny bit of Ench Blue in to add to the cold feel and then obviously the snow. Brrrrr! Anyway, hope you like it and, as always, comment are GREATLY appreciated. Cheers, Dom
