Way old Shadow Seer from the Harlequin boxed set

This mini was painted circa 1995. I never have gotten off my rear to finish even a squad of harlequins - maybe because each one takes forever. I have never been a fan of the overly bright harlequins with lots and lots of colors. I think it detracts from their mystery and makes them look like american gladiators. That being said, another color probably wouldnt have hurt.

I really dig them old style harlequins, and your color choices are great! Too bad that you never finished the whole squad, I would have really liked to see it.

Very nice, bone and purple complement each other very well. Harlequins rule.

Really like the colour scheme on the Harlequin, Ivory/Purple looks great. Harlequins, each being so individual get to be difficult to put into a squad and retain cohesion. Using Inks to thin paints is an 'old' trick but still worth the effort as it gives a better flow to the paint and increases the luminousity. As to adding another colour, I think the gems do that. I like the gem work on the face mask as the original descriptions of it being a reflective black surface made it hard to work. You've done it very well. I agree with the concept of darker colours giving a sense of mystery as you state.Wouldn't mind seeing a pic of the reverse of the mini.
