Eldar Great Harlequin

I think this mini is a stylistic improvement over my Shadow Seer (ID# 10989). Black and ivory are the base colors for all my harlequins, but in this case I added bits of red to complement the green. What is not visible from this angle is the mask is half black and half white. One of the nicest features of this mini, not very visible in the photo is that the paint is very smooth and even. Whenever I could, I thinned the paints only with inks, yielding a nice strong color.

i bet the only reason this didn't get a much higher score is because the mini is kinda far away, but the level of skill and detail here is excellent. very smooth and clean.. very nice job on the jewels. my only suggestions are a better picture and a little more exciting base.. superb job.

Really like the colour scheme on the Harlequin and the overcoat. Sword looks great. I completely agree about painting Harlequins, each being so individual. Again I agree with the concept of darker colours giving a sense of mystery as you state on #10989. Using Inks to thin paints is an 'old' trick but still worth the effort as it gives a better flow to the paint and increases the luminousity. Wouldn't mind seeing a pic of the reverse of the mini.
