Nienne, Female Ranger (painted as a Zenith Caste Solar Exalted)

This mini was painted as a (male!) friend's PC in an Exalted campaign. I was very scared of it, because the charcater only wears black - black catsuit, black armour, black cloak. Thankfully it worked OK in the end, with the character's manga-inspired blue hair and the armour's jade trimmings compensating for the otherwise gloomy colour scheme. The huge katana sheat and the Solar Mouse familiar have been sculpted by Wolfbane; I only did the painting part! :)

The little mouse is wonderful, really suits the pose. You're right, the green trim and hair livened up the black a lot. I think the highlights on the black cloak need to be taken up two or three levels. I really like the groundwork you've done here, very nice woodsy look.
