Si'Rene the Unlucky, Bow-legged Elf
I painted this mini during the summer holidays, following a long span of inactivity (damn my job)... and the first thing I did was dropping her, while I was drilling the pin hole into her foot. The sword handle got broken (you can see a lump of superglue there) and the left leg bent inwards, but I decided to leave it alone for fear of snapping it off... so that's how she gained her nickname! :) I used warm and neutral colours only on her and tried to give her a Native American complexion, which is something I wouldn't usually associate with elves. Only afterwards did I notice that there's a strong Pocahontas influence in there - don't know why, but she reminded me so strongly of the Disney character on a subliminal level that I painted her that way without even being aware of it! This is my FIRST NMM EVER!!!! Whoa, I summoned up the nerve to try it! (I figured the mini was already ruined after it fell, so I could go a bit wild...) Oh, and the rocky formation is a bit of pine bark. :)
