Black Orc

Nice and interesting fig to paint for me. One of the new plastic Black Orcs. Lovely figure and it fitted together perfectly. I really wanted to go with a grim and dirty look. The armour, in particular, I wanted to look 'lived in'. So, it lost all it's shine as the grime just builds up giving it a matted, dusty feel. Painted entirely with Citadel paints. Mostly metallics and Foundation Paints. Painted it to enter in a local painting contest, we shall see how it goes...

This is really great! I was wondering, could you please post a comment on what steps you used to make the armor look weathered. For instance, "basecoat boltgun, wash delvan mud" or something like that, thanks. Funny how you can so easily replicate the gamesday orc! I saw a picture of it in the orc and goblin book before I even knew what it was, and made a copy.

Very nice. Love the gold and the chessboards on it.

Great job. Good to see something new from you. The armour looks excellent on this green fella, amazing how good these plastic orcs can look.
