Black Orc - Closeup

I submitted this Black Orc a couple of weeks back with normal sized photos. I have decided to be brave and show a fairly raw shot of it at a much larger size. Gives a better idea of the paintjob though it's not so representative with him being around 30mm tall. The pic is sized exactly as he came out of the camera. All I have done is cropped the shot to fit the max 600 pixels wide criteria of cmon, altered the white balance to get rid of a mild colour cast from the photography bulbs and manually altered the levels for accuracy. It's worth noting that's all I ever do to my mini photos. No digital blending or any rubbish like that. Anyway, here he is (or there he was considering I'm sure you looked at the pic before reading this...)

This is really great! I was wondering, could you please post a comment on what steps you used to make the armor look weathered. For instance, "basecoat boltgun, wash delvan mud" or something like that, thanks. Funny how you can so easily replicate the gamesday orc! I saw a picture of it in the orc and goblin book before I even knew what it was, and made a copy.

awesome job, I also have the new plastic black orcs and I´m very satisfied, although it´s shame you can´t build all of them with two-handed weapons. anyway, you did a great job on this one, the skin looks smooth and the metallics are reasonably weathered, creating the image of well-used armor.
