UK GD 2009 Diorama - Empire vs Undead (Finalist)
After a year without much painting this was my entry into last year's UK Golden Demon, which earned me my third finalist pin. Initially I planned to create a full-on battle scene with a whole regiment's worth of figures on each side, but in the end spent so long doing all the rocks and scenery etc. that I ran out of time for figures! Still, I think the quality of the figures themselves isn't up to the judges standard. Also there are so many bright colours going on, whereas more subtle and balanced tones may be better next time. Still, I am happy with the result, and receved lots of positive comments on the day! James
