Sherlock Holmes green
This figure is a bit of a step back in time for me (in more ways than one). I actually started my career as a historical miniatures sculptor. Early in my career I sculpted a couple of Sherlock Holmes figures which were pretty popular by all accounts. I did enjoy sculpting them so I decided a while back to take another shot at it with the benefit of a lot more experience. So, here he is: Sherlock Holmes, Victorian detective extraordinaire. The green looks a bit odd as I've worked on this figure over a long period of time and have sculpted in various greenstuff mixtures which give different parts different colours. Still, I'm pretty happy all in. He's a bit smaller than my other sculpts as he's designed to be more compatible with historical figures than the larger fantasy types. So, Sherlock 28mm scale rather than the 32mm scale I've used with Spyglass Miniatures fantasy subjects. Can be a bit of a challenge. It doesn't sound like much but it's quite awkward to change sizes when sculpting heads. Steve Buddle Spyglass Miniatures
