History o' the Fists

When a kid who plays WH40K at the store I work for stumbled upon some old Space Marines (they actually came out of a paintset he bought, to be honest...), he gave me three of'em and asked me to paint'em the way I liked the most. So, being an avid (rabid, maybe?) Imperial Fists player and having three minis, I immediately thought about something like an history of the Chapter, with the main guys and both their descendants. So, here we have an Imperial Fist, a Crimson Fist and a Black Templar, all of'em in crap-o-paint glory :D Really, these old minis proved to be quite a challenge for my basic painting skills, since they're a bit smaller than the current ones and seem to be made out of a different plastic, which acted like it really didn't want to keep paint on :D Anyway, as usual, comments and help are truly welcome, I badly need both :D

Clean painting. Definitely above tabletop standard. Very good freehand on the shoulder pad! One criticism: there appears to be a mould line on the barrel of the rocket launcher.

Neat, but the metal needs more definition (read washing), and the highlights are either invisible (IF), or too stark IMHO (BT/CF) - try using more intermediary shades :o)
