Imperial Fists - Dreadnought THOR
Oh well, for my 49th mini (celebrating on my 50th mini would've been too obvious, huh?) I decided to paint my first "big" model, although Dreadnoughts aren't as big as they're supposed to be, after all :) Anyway, as with most (all?) of my minis, this is intended for tabletop gaming and nothing more, but that didn't stop me from trying something new :) First of all, the torso isn't glued to the legs, but pinned, so that I can turn it anytime and anywhere I want and make funny mechanic-rotating noises with my mouth :D Then, I drilled some bullet-holes in the armour and made some scratches - Dreadnoughts are supposed to fight for centuries, so I never understood their constant as-new look. Last, I experimented a bit with dirt. I mean, how's a yellow walking grave like this supposed to be shiny and clean, seeing how big its exhaust pipes are and how much terrain its weight is going to lift at each step? Making the yellow look dirty wasn't that hard, after all, except for the top of the Dreadnought, where I tried to "simulate" the stains from the exhauts pipes' smoke and flames. As usual, comments are badly needed and really appreciated. For Dorn! ;)
