Yeah - the pink needs to be faded, and also needs a light dusting of red.

Plenty of shading to come on the tail and stuff. Too bad the camera didn't pick up the shading that's already there. Ah well.

So you've caught the horse bug huh? Really looking great so far. Good job on the skin tones. Nice color choices. Kath. already mentioned the nose, but I'd also suggest you take a bit of time and feather the edges of his brown stockings in so that it's not such a harsh transition. But obviously it's still a WIP, so I'm sure there's more to come. :D

Definitely looking good! And yay for the horse bug! As long as it's not a horse fly - those things really bite. OW!

But I gotta ask, what's up with the jaw and the cheek being so dark? Is that like his mane stuck under the armor? If the hair is longer and that's why you painted it to match the legs, you might want to rethink that with a cremello and paint it the same as the body color. But it's hard to tell from the two photos.

I really like what you're doing with the muscle definition. As you blend that out with the body color it's going to look fantastic!

Also, this is just an intermediate step. The parts that are now brown will end up a lot closer to the skin color.

I left home base for Detroit on Monday, then flew down to hot old Houston on Tuesday. I will be flying back sometime today. The sooner the better, I say.

So I got back late last night, and was able to immerse myself in brushlicking today. Yay!

That's the good news. The bad news is that the project I'm working on I am not going to reveal until after the 30th. And since there's a lot of work to be done, I probably won't be able to do much else.

I'd hate for you to think you wasted your time, so here's a random pics of art I did before I got back into minis (painting cars in Forza)
