good god, and I thought I had gem issues with eldar...:messed:
Lovely work on the dwarf, and indeed, all your stuff. Your NMM is aces - I have huge trouble with it. Your blending in general is really nice, in fact.
With regards to picture taking, my advice would be:
use 2 lamps - one at the front, and one angled round the side a wee bitsy.
OR
use one sun (positioned at the left or right side, slightly to the front) and one mirror round the opposite side of the mini to reflect the light back at it.
Print out a nice background. It could be the standard white/blue gradation, or any other variation of your choice.
Put this behind you mini, and put your mini on a plain black block of wood. (or if it has a plinth, use that)
put the camera on a tripod, or failing that, a pile of books.
Take some time the first time around to take a dozen or so shots at different settings, then sit and look at them with a critical eye, and decide what your best bet is.
If you do all of that, you should end up with nice pics. Photoshop or GIMP (a free photo editor) can be used later to tweak things, but really tweaking is all it should be.
Hope that helps
