Not particularly exciting progress but one step closer to casting...

I've evened out a thin area of the bat to ensure casts shouldn't snap in the post:

Now I just need to remove the arms holding the bat and add ball/socket joints.

Preparing for casting...

Left arm removed (armatre wire would prevent me from adding peg/hole assembly) and basic stump formed:

To keep the correct positioning of the bat and arms I'm going to resculpt one arm at a time.

Very brave to chop up such fine work to make even further progress in you endeavors. I applaud you.

Thanks mate! I must admit I've been very daunted by this final process, hence why it's taken so long to get round to!

I hope it'll make it to the casting stage and be worthwhile!

Attempted to resculpt the left arm with the bat blu-tacked in place. The blu-tac is at that sticky and weak stage so it didn't hold for long. That didn't help, plus my sculpting time was rudely interrupted...
