First of all what do you guys mean when you say dip it. Second of all how did you get the blue led inside the mini, cause that glow man....

Just dip it! Oddly enough, a major technique for me right now is making a transparent 'wash' with like 5 parts matte medium and one part paint. I thin it with a bit of water so it moves better and then use it for all sort of things. I bet the consistency is about the same as that can of army painter.

I will do a write up on painting the glow. It is an easy technique if you can get your airbrush to work right.

Next for me is finishing the sadly unpainted Space Marine that Zab pointed out. Not trying to do anything fancy with him just cover up any primer. Here is a progress shot:

In other news I listed the Pathfinder on e-bay. I went a little high on my price but hopefully I will get lucky. He is sitting at an 8.8 right now so maybe someone will snatch him up. If any of you guys are want to buy him let me know and I will knock $25 off.

I am still very busy in real life, but at the end of the year my littlest kid-o will start preschool full time so I should have a lot more time for painting. I have a great part-time work-from-home job but I am hoping I can supplement that with some commission painting. So, until then I am going to do some e-bay projects and maybe try and get a couple of blog posts going and see what shakes out

That's awesome man. What kind of job you have at home? I know I have wanted a piece of demi art for my shelf for quite some time soooo...I'll be watching your eBay stuff pretty closely. Or maybe talk to you about a commission coming up.

I shared the Pathfinder at Samaria in Ashes, the most active Facebook Dark Age group. I hear that there's surprisingly much money in selling minis on eBay, so good luck!

Oh thanks Oistene! Yeah I am excited to see if I can make a few bucks. It's tough because I would never buy a painted mini. To me the fun part is doing the painting. So it's hard to figure out a price. I auctioned some Killa Kans a year or two ago and I was pretty disappointed because they sold but didn't get bid up. I think I made a little less than $5 an hour. This time around I am not doing an auction and pricing it closer to $15 an hour. If it doesn't sell I am totally happy keeping it on the display shelf.

Something else that I have really been enjoying is painting for contests. It adds a time constraint and a bit of a challenge to meet the guidelines of the contest. I am hoping that will also be true of comissions. On the other hand, it might just drive me nuts. Either way, I'll keep posting here

Digga, I am a social media manager for an online restaurant equipment company, so basically I write posts for Facebook and watch cooking shows all day. Not the good shows though, like boring industry ones. It's a good gig.

I went to school for this kind of stuff and I could never find this line of work, then again I never looked lol.

Yeah I put some of my minis in the display cabinet in the local model / gaming shop about 4 months ago and made a deal with the owner that if he supplied the mini to the customer I would be a commsion painter, I have checked in ocasionally but no ones has even shown any interest in commsions they all look in awe and go home with their minis to paint.

Yeah Canny I thought about that too. I am just going to put out a few feelers on FB and see what comes up. I also don't want to get inundated with painting requests...

So I am doing the Joan of arc and a couple of dronbots with Angel Giraldez's book right now. I am having better luck with his airbrush style stuff than I have so far so i am pretty excited:

Here is after initial airbrushing. One thing I messed up on and had to redo was an initial primer coat with black. I guess i focused too much on the pictures and primered grey first. I went back and re-did it.
