Simply unreal work... I wouldn't even know where to start to paint something like this. Well, actually, I wouldn't even know how to paint like this... EVER! I take my hat off to you.

PS If you are taking this mini to a GD competition I hope you win the slayer sword :)

He looks really cool! The tentacle looks really wet and disgusting. It actually catches my eye a lot more than his... eye.

Hi,

Lovely work!!!!

Did you use some soda to increase the efect of the rust on the blade?

Many thanks,
Mariano.

That is one very nicely painted Nurgle - it almost seems wrong that he's looking so good.

I just started my first Nurgle and I'm having a blast with his skin and playing with different colours and effects. Oistene suggested I take a look at your work and I can definitely see why!

Yes as it adds a bit of texture. Plastic minis can be prone to being a bit too smooth.

Very nice Dave. Please don't paint quick, its the only thing that saves us all at the competitions :)
There is very little chance of that!
I'm very pleased with the Plaguebearer but I recon I could take it up a notch. I'm already spotting lots of things that I want to go back over and refine and the whole thing would benefit from a little more work to increase the textures and detail.

My work is never done!:crying:

Lovely painting and please take this the right way, but that is Fing disgusting! I think i'm going to have to revisit nurgle. I have trouble with the muted dirty tones but this clean look i think suits my style better. I'm inspired!

That's OK where Nurgle is concerned the more disgusting the better View attachment 42089

I'm so pleased you're inspired to paint some Nurgle! I know that my bright clean look isn't to everyone's taste especially with regards to Nurgle but I really don't get how all things Nurgle should be muted and dirty. I often see Nurgle minis painted in a palette more suited to the undead. With Nurgle things may be rotten but they are most definitely alive - rampantly, gleefully and virulently alive! Why should sickness and disease be dull and dreary I think it can just as easily be colourful.

One of the things that initially inspired my Nurgle flesh tones was the mother of all bruises that came out on my leg after an infected insect bite. That thing went through red, black, purple green and yellow!
