With Gutrot finished I've turned my attention to getting ready for my Weekend Workshop in Cardiff and that means .... more Nurgle!
The mini has been a delight to paint and it’s relative simplicity makes makes it the fastest mini I’ve ever painted. I turned this little beauty around in under two weeks of evening sessions.

That is one very nicely painted Nurgle - it almost seems wrong that he's looking so good.
I just started my first Nurgle and I'm having a blast with his skin and playing with different colours and effects. Oistene suggested I take a look at your work and I can definitely see why!

Yes as it adds a bit of texture. Plastic minis can be prone to being a bit too smooth.
There is very little chance of that!Very nice Dave. Please don't paint quick, its the only thing that saves us all at the competitions
I'm very pleased with the Plaguebearer but I recon I could take it up a notch. I'm already spotting lots of things that I want to go back over and refine and the whole thing would benefit from a little more work to increase the textures and detail.
My work is never done!:crying:

I'm so pleased you're inspired to paint some Nurgle! I know that my bright clean look isn't to everyone's taste especially with regards to Nurgle but I really don't get how all things Nurgle should be muted and dirty. I often see Nurgle minis painted in a palette more suited to the undead. With Nurgle things may be rotten but they are most definitely alive - rampantly, gleefully and virulently alive! Why should sickness and disease be dull and dreary I think it can just as easily be colourful.
One of the things that initially inspired my Nurgle flesh tones was the mother of all bruises that came out on my leg after an infected insect bite. That thing went through red, black, purple green and yellow!
