Thanks a bunch boys, as I said I'd finish the Ratchet in one session, well, poured nearly six hours (felt like two!) into the Saturday, and they are waiting for sealer and water effect as we speak. I decided to add slime effects to the monsters from earlier, so they are waiting fro UHU to arrive from eBay.
Here's a step by step of the Ratchet:

Right now it is all about these guys. They are nearly done; I'm not fully happy about the leg plates, but I think I'll fix it with some pigments.
Since nothing is really *finished*, I'm still at 160/1000 points.

Lol. Oistene, or BAM: do you just brush pigment on and then seal with varnish?

Another question I'm afraid: mix it up with what? Medium? Water?

Digga - pigment powders. I use MIG, Secret Weapon also has a good line. Going to use some on the plates on the legs to smooth out the colors and dirty it up.
Arch - they can pretty much be mixed with anything. Here's a little something I clipped and saved from Demihuman's WIP when I asked him about it (he is talking about rust here, I think): "Oistene, for relatively heavy pigments like this I mix the pigments with water and a few drops of matte medium. I have used some other stuff and didn't really like it. On the bot I did red/brown then red earth then bright orange. I came back in with Reaper Explosion Orange and did a few spots of that to help set off the glowy blue. I also use rubbing alcohol to clean up the pigments. It works great as long as they aren't too old. It also works good to clean up over spray from the air brush as long as you get to it pretty quickly. I try to always seal before I do pigments and before I do airbrush osl like this. That way if i really screw up I can just throw the whole thing in the sink"

I just buy the crayon style soft pastels and crush them or scrape them with a razor ,only buy the good quality earth soft pastels ,here in Aus my local art shop sell them for about three dollars each .They are easily as good as my mig ones .

Arch - don't thank me, thank Demihuman!
Terra - that's a neat way of doing it, if you can get good ones locally. I'd rather save the hassle and get them ready made, though. Matter of taste/laziness, I guess. The weapon... now that's a funny one. This model is a Pud Thrower. All the little beasties I did a few weeks back, are Puds. The weapon is a sling/club that the Thrower uses to shoot living Puds at the enemy. It is hard to see it in the picture, but the sling is loaded with a gaping pud. It is more visible in the other model, I'll post that soon.
