Test model for my circle color scheme
And yes I'll take better pics to post it. this is off my phone.
I'm not 100% happy with the base. the green trim is much smoother than the picture lets on, but it still seems lacking. Note that this will be more for play quality...
Looking for a helmeted head for battle brother artemis (http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catalog/productDetail.jsp?catId=cat490043a&prodId=prod1110218)
There was a conversion set aaaaaages ago that has several heads and some weapons. Looking for the whole thing if I can get it. It's a surprise...
I have several horde armies on the go, and I LOATHE quickshade.... so I'm looking to get myself an airbrush setup for some speed painting/basecoating/first few layers as well as vehicles for the odd time I actually work on 40k armies. I need to know a few things before I continue

I'm looking to convert myself some poison wind globadiers, and we have 2 problems...
1) The GW globadiers are $12 f*cking each. THEY'RE 10 POINTS. 12 F*CKING DOLLARS
2) most of the skaven plastic kits are fairly static, difficult to modify.

A lot happier this time. Had the Fstop at 10. I used an 11" light tent and 2 work lamps with 100w soft white bulbs. I want to get 1 more and replace the bulbs with daylight bulbs too.
Then in PS6 I used the auto adjust on levels, auto color, auto contrast...
I don't 100% know what the moderator process is like, but I have 2 pictures posted

That have been in "waiting" status for over 24 hours now. Can I do something to force them to post? I want some feedback :)
I'm happiest with how the second pic looks but obviously the background doesn't match. This was just done with lamps and a sheet of paper. I ordered a small light tent but it's still in transit, though I'll re-upload new pics of him once that arrives
Any tips? anything I should do different...

So I have NO IDEA where the inspiration from this piece came from, but I wanted it to be badass. SO here's the original plan....
Aracharock as a centerpiece for my army (orc mobs, no goblins)
the no goblins thing presented a challenge for me so I needed to crew it with orcs somehow
Goff rockers...
With the pending release of empire in April and my love of all things steampunk I'm thinking.... why not do an engineer heavy steampunk empire army?
The paint scheme is easy (off-white, brass/bronze, leathers), and conversions for all the large war machines and monsters will be easy too...
So in an effort to speed up my 170 orcs, I'm trying to airbrush them. But I cannot for the life of me find a paint to water (no medium handy) ratio that will go on smooth. I keep getting mixes that just spatter or go onto the model extremely wet and just bead up (like watery snot green over...
