I\'m all happy because a nice new Nikon D3 and a 14-24mm f/2.8 lens are winging their way to me. I might pop out in a bit and buy the Nikon 60mm f/2.8 macro lens for it too. At the same time I am sad because i\'m now poor and it\'s not going to be here in time for salute.

I was looking over some of my minis the other day and made an observation... Some are quite dark in the flesh as it were. They look great under perfect light such as right next to a light source, under camera flash or in bright daylight though. I wonder if this is a function of better lighting...

Has anyone ever used forced perspective in a mini or diorama? I wonder how well it would work? Obviously, the main limitation would be the limited angle the thing could be viewed from. hmmm.
