Given the recent fall in fortunes of GW, i wondered how people are spending their cash? Is it just that there is less cash around for the hobby? Or is it that people are moving to other manufacturers? Is it crowd funding? Has kickstarter kicked GW into touch?
Me? I'd say that i have spent 50...
I have just checked the usps tracking number to see that it has a status of "delivered". However, when i check the details this means that it has been delivered to the Post office. Unhelpfully usps does not say which post office.
This gives me a couple of concerns:
1. I have paid for delivery...
Ok so I was reading one of the threads about the new releases by GW and it occurs that it is popular sport to bash GW for some of their recent releases. I personally don't think this is fair. They've produced plenty of over-priced crap over the years. Bobo the evil clown being a prime example...
Its not often that i go to a wargaming store and feel compelled to write about it. But i've been over in Singapore for a couple of days and had a spare hour so i thought i'd check out a local store. Not a massive store, but A really good selection of stuff (at least compared to what i can get at...
OK so this is basically an excuse for me to procrastinate from work for a few minutes. I figured it would be interesting to set out some of the things I have learned in my years in the hobby and to see what words of wisdom the CMON members can add.

Sorry for being hopeless, but I saw a thread a while back discussing the way in which miniatures are presented (including some glass display cases). It included photos of a French hobbiest's public display where his miniatures where in glass tubes suspended from the ceiling. I've tried searching...
I'm spending Easter with my folks (near Bolton in the UK) and was wondering if there are any good mini stores in the area. It's been a few years since I was last here....
Quick question - I\'m in London for about 10 days, can anyone recommend somewhere local where I can pick up resin to cast a water base for a diorama.
Thanks.
I was flicking through some old White Dwarfs the otherday and admiring some of the old miniatures that used to appear in Blanchitsu / \'Eavy Metal. There are some absolute cracking artists whose work would still hold up well - albeit the styles are fairly different to the ultra realistic...
In a blatent rip-off of Friends Reunited, I thought I\'d have a crack at reuniting the team I used to work with at GW Oxford (the city not Oxford Street, London).
Andy, Steve, Kev, Mark, Jason etc. if you\'re out there lurking drop me a line.
Has any one painted a mini from a German company called Games Zone. I\'d reall appreciate some comments on the quality of their mini\'s....
... the reason for the query is that the photos on their website are truely awful and I can only find a couple of better photos on C\'MON....
...
I know that Ilyad Games stopped production last year. Does anyone know if the plans to re-start / if any one has tried to buy the company?
Is the sculpter responsible for the Vorag Minis working elsewhere?
I have been trawling back through the forum and was looking at the references to the infamous \"chicken\" dragon. One comment that came up a fair bit was that it would have been cheaper to hire someone to sculpt a new version than it would have been to bid for an original on ebay (in the event...
