I\'m just curious how these DVDs compare to other video tutorials out there. The painting style looks a little too cartoony for me, but I\'m still interested if there\'s useful information on the DVDs.
I just picked up some new fleshhounds of Khorne, and would like to paint them in colors other than red. I was told that this would not fit within the Warhammer world. Is that true? I know that Khorne is traditionally painted all red, but can I paint them purple with some red instead? Thanks.
I\'m painting some white handwraps on a mini, and I want to weather them so there are little dots of dirt on them. Anyone know of anything I can add to the paint to give this effect? I\'ve seen the tamiya weathering sticks, but don\'t know how they would work.
I\'ve been using the GW brand PVA glue for basing materials, but the tube cap keeps getting glued shut and is too much of a pain to wrestle with. So is that Elmer\'s glue they sell everywhere the same stuff? If not is there other similar PVA glue I can get easily, like at hardware stores?
I just placed a big order of Rackham minis and some of them have \"bumpy/fuzzy\" areas and some castings are so bad, there are actually chunks missing in the metal. Is there an easy way to fix these problem areas? I\'ve used greenstuff in the past, but I was kind of hoping for more of a liquid...
I don\'t play WFB, I just paint, but I have a Dark Elf Assassin character I\'m painting for a competition and would like to base him in whatever their native environment is. Rocky, green grass, dead grass? Thanks.
I\'m starting to enter some local paint competitions and normally I would have just submitted the mini on its gaming base, but I want something that looks more professional. Nothing too fancy or large, just a basic 1-2\" height and only slightly wider than a typical round 35mm figure base...
I mainly use WN Series 7 for my layering, and an older sable brush for basecoating that is now starting to splay. Obviously I don\'t want to use the good series 7 brushes for basecoating, so does anyone have decent brands that are bit firmer and hold a good point? I\'d like to find something...
I just saw a display of Winsor Newton tube paints and noticed the wide assortment of colors, and was wondering if these paints would work for mini painting. I know a lot of thinning would be required since they are in a thicker paste form, but if they have enough pigment, they should thin OK. So...
Just curious if anyone has any tips for painting a full 360 glass orb. Painting the orb half embedded in a gauntlet or armor is easy enough, but I\'m having trouble expanding the technique to a 360 degree object. Thanks for any tips.
