A gentleman wears Brown Brogue boots with tweeds while visiting a provincial town, and stout leather walking boots in the country.
In the city one simply must wear a morning suit while visiting and evening wear for entertaining.

Ive had a few people message me asking about the tweed pattern sooooooo.......
I start by saying I have used the method by the great Fernando Ruiz.

Paints as in photo.
Based in VMC middlestone.
1. vertical lines brown, red, green
2. horizontal lines, red goes over green, brown goes over both
3. diagonal strokes in kharki
4. washed over in burnt umbar.

...Smoothed the face out and started on the tweed hat...

Thumbs up for this smoothing. It was a bit too "evil" at the beginning, now it is better for a "lawful" man, at least for my personal point of view.
I like the pattern too, lots of working lines, would probably became mad after finishing them.
Just for curiosity :agent: are you using the same brush for the lines than on the rest of the mini or did you switch to a longest and narrower bristles type? (I once was told in an art shop, that those are better to make straight lines, but never tried one)

Maenas - Thanks mate, yes he was looking a bit evil, it was the extreme highlights that I had to tone down. Ive been using a W&N series 7 size '2' for the whole bust.

For anyone trying out this type of pattern I have learned from the 20+ hours so far that the key (which I havent mastered ) is to get the lines a equal size in width (like they would be on real material) if they 'bulge' out in places thats when they start looking like painted lines.

Had a few people ask about the new scale75 flesh paints Ive used on the face.
My key points about them.

1. They take a bit of getting use to from GW or VMC.
2. Dont need as much watering down as the other brands
3. They have a sort of translutent effect which (after a bit of practice) makes for great blending.
4. Super matt finish.
5. The colours in the sets compliment each other brilliantly and havent just been thrown in without thought.
6. MOST IMPORTANT OF ALL - SHAKE, SHAKE AND SHAKE SOME MORE, and when you have shook that bottle shake it again!!!!!!!!!!!!

So to sum up, fantastic paint range but not for beginners imo.

Good to hear your detailed opinion of the scale75 paints, now I'm even more curious to try them. Ridiculously good work as usual Ten, t'd be cool to see a closer pic of that pattern

EDIT: I didn't see it at first, but is his right eye a little smaller/darker than the other?

Agree with the super matte on scale 75.

Also I have a point to add - if the paint isn't coming out, do NOT squeeze the bottle harder. I still have paint on things that should not have paint on them.
