I really like the blues, especially against the white backdrop of the tunic.

As for the energy. If you still wanted to do it perhaps just the tendrils or just the ball. I think either by itself would look ok. Small ball could indicate a start of the energy build up or the tendrils would indicate actual energy discharge.

Looking great! I liked the idea of the "lightening ball" i just think it needed a little something more to the ball itself. The shape maybe? Always great stuff 10 ball.

thinking more like that effect for the green on the sword more extreeme contrast too make it pop more a few dark green washes to darken down the edges and all the way up too a very small white highlite. Wadaya think?

Your smack on about the contrast on the greens, needs a dark green in there.

I think the glowing effect Andy just mentioned is just an airbrush spot, over which the icon is painted with brushes.

Not that hard to do, if you have the right tool.

Thanks for the comments people 3 more hours last night, not 100% happy with the lightning effects on the sword. A few things to finish then I will think about a base.

Not keen on the glow effect. Dont really think its needed tbh. I know its bang on trend to cover everything in glow these days but I find it just detracts from things and unless you get it perfect it looks shit to be blunt Personally I think that if any glow is to be added to this model it makes sense on the outstretched hand rather than the weapon. Rant over.
Apart from the above, I like how this mini has come along. Wish i had painted mine this way too now

It's all looking very nice. I like the way you've done the armor, the highlighting gives it a nice effect. The sword is looking very neat. I'm not sure I get 'lightning', to me it looks more like green fire (which is cool too). Maybe if you sharpen up the corners is will read more like lightning. Best of luck, on that scale and on something thin like the sword it's a tough effect to pull off.
