cracking job fella, you're well on top with that NMM now. Sniper is back btw I'm afraid to say. This is not a 3.9 avg mini or my name is Mike Mcvey!!!

Great work. I love the depth of your blue. I tried to add a little green to mine and while I'm happy with it I think yours is much truer to the GW idea. YOu made a good choice swapping the power sword too. Looks way better!

Tommie Soule was talking about how he started painting by copying works that he liked, and I gotta say, I'm using your version of the Librarian as my piece to copy and learn from.

Thanks all for the kind comments. Im working hard on my Salute entry and to have a break, ive gone right off my normal style. My father-in-law bless him, says to me - "I hear you paint toy soldiers" and hands me a couple of these.
Real SMALL & terrible quality but he wants me to paint them, so ........ NOTE: check reference picts before painting, I painted the trousers red at first LOL

Yes please, I don't know if the trousers are White or black lol.
No wonder those pesky Americans won us - who ever came up with wearing bright red on a battlefield? :)

GREY for standard British line infantry!
Specific regiments may have had Dress whites but not neccessarily used on campaign.

No wonder those pesky Americans won us.
And didn't they get a great prize!!!

Lee if you want I'm pretty sure I've Osprey titles covering this period, drop me a PM. ;)

These are mostly from the period of 1815 but on the forum, with some patience, you'll probably find the right period.

great work on what you call a rough figure. I like the way he is turning out. Just be aware that doing such a good job on him for you father-in-law may lead to him asking for more to be done. Are you sure you want to keep on at such a high level?
