Here is the product site, I posted an Amazon link further up the page, but I don't know how it works if you're in Canada ordering from the US site. You can get it on ebay, just search for "easy cast resin" I found it on both the US and Canadian version of ebay.

I love the water base Flu it looks awesome .
With the yellow marine I think you need to paint the whole figure that way to see if it's going to work or not , I like it but the whole thing done like that May or may not work .

Had a long weekend with very little time to paint, but I did get a little more color on the marine.

... I did a test last night with a single drop of food coloring in the resin to see how that would work...
Hey Fluister, just wanted to warn you about using alimentary colour... I think it would probably fade out/change its colour if the sunlight hits it, take care as they are usually not meant to stand light for a very prolonged time. ;)

Hmm, I did not know that. My minis rarely, if ever, get direct sunlight but it's still good to know. And since that block was just a test piece, I'll throw it on the windowsill and check in on it the next few weeks to see how it's doing

Liking the look of that battle damage. I think that yellow's looking more yellow now, but if you really wanted to make sure it doesn't come across as gold, maybe a subtler highlight would help? The small, sharp white highlight makes it read as a metallic surface to me.

Yeah I'll see if I can tone down the highlights. I'm going to start working on other parts of the marine and come back to the armor.

I put some base coats on Kaernus:

As mentioned earlier in the thread, my girlfriend's little sister loves Doctor Who and has a birthday this weekend. I already painted her a Tardis, and my gf bought a chibi pony modeled as the Matt Smith Doctor at Adepticon. I was told to paint this as well. Here it is about 90% done.

so far really good stuff if I may suggest something the gold marine I think is falling short from yellow for two reasons in my perspective 1you sholdve started with a bright colored yellow as a brownyellow is a gold color attribute also A brighter colored yellow shaded with a red brown like dark flesh really gives a. BRight yellow A nice depth and looks great when further highlighted... example I used an averland sunset base, dark flesh a d reapplied the averLand then yriel yellow.

BAM, you're exactly right. I always go dark to light and I can now see that is not the way to go with yellow. This guy was meant as a learning experience and that's exactly what I got. Next time I'll approach yellow the way you've laid it out.

Yeah Def bud you can Def still try something to salvage keep painting it the way your doing and at the end I was thinking just trow on some yellow glazes....this way you can keep going the way your going because honestly gold /yellow whatever I really like the technical aspect of it.....I feel it's still a nicely painted model...no doubt Bud.
