Alright, his arms and hands are completed. Now all that's left is the axe handle and the SM helmet his left leg will be propped up on. Then I have to figure out a base for him, not quite sure how I want to go with it.

Thanks gents. Alright, now it's time to get crazy. The MMSI show is in two weeks and I've decided to go. I'll be bringing some things like Koth-Yan and the viking bust I just finished, but I wanted to paint something new just for the show. So what better to bring than the hoplite bust! In only two weeks time! It will be an interesting challenge. I need to devote 100% of my painting time to it. Let's get to some WIP pics:
Here you can see it blu-tacked together.
You can see at the bottom the tip of the plume broke off when trying to clean up an injection plug, so I had to sculpt a new tip.
Here was the only problem on the whole bust(a bit hard to see because of the shadows), an air bubble in his right eye socket. Just a bit of GS filling and resculpt and good to go.

On the marine, everything seems perfect for me except for the head, that imo looks a bit off because everything else super. Chop it off, and put a nice helmet with a horn sprouting form it. xD
The hoplite is a nice selection, and that shield's freehand looks like it is going to rock!

Thanks for the comments guys. Here's some very early WIP shots of the face. So far only the right side of his head has really been worked on, left side and forehead are mostly just base coated.

Alright, here's a face update. Still work to be done, gotta get the beard to look right, and do the hair. I want him to be salt and peppery to match the hardened, aged, face.

Thanks oist, painting flesh at this scale gets pretty tricky. So my crazy timeline of two weeks was indeed too much. No way I'm finishing this by Friday. As it stands I don't even know if I can actually make it to the show itself, which would suck because I was looking forward to entering some stuff I've done but won't be taking to CB. Anyway, here's some more progress.

Hey Fluisterwood.. I will be at the MMSI show this weekend. I actually joined the group this year and it will be my first year entering some stuff in it.. I will actually helping them out with setup tomorrow morning and Security at the miniatures from 2-3pm on Saturday.. Maybe we will run into each other..
