I think it would be a better Idea to let Victor decide when he wants his model to become public. If you have any resect for him as a painter, why not also repect his wishes not to post pics?

The gentleman did ask for pics not to be posted on any internet sites. However, I see nothing wrong with us passing them around in E-mails, right?
Then again, he has nothing posted here on CMON, does he? So I guess we really don\'t owe him a godamn thing. lol

Yes Marcus it would be very sad, since as stated i like their games and enjoy the hobby. I don\'t think any of us wish GW ill, but I know personally I find theit business stategy short sighted and down right laughable. Looking at their stock trend, it seems that they started to tank right at the point in early spring when they started releasing the new Space Marines with their higher price tags. I think the $50 plastic terminator box as well as the direct only Battle for the Five Rings that sold out before demand was met were two of the catalysts that has turned alot of supporters here. Also, the cancelling of GT\'s and GD\'s worldwide has also tarnished the GW crown as well. Rather than giving people a venue to compete either in painting, playing or exploring new games, GW just ripped away a great forum that promoted their product without the slightest explaination to the public. The way it seems to be perceived here is that corporate GW could give a rat\'s ass what the lemmings that buy their product think, and that I think that the \"GW could give a damn attitude\" along with the price hikes are the key reasons that profits are down. Guess the CEO wont get his HUGE bonus this year! lol
Still, to answer your rehtorical question Marcus, no , I dont want GW to go under, but I do believe their is a better way to run this company than the method that is currently is being employed.

P.S. I am very familiar with this mini and the story behind it.....As far as I am concerned it is VERY, VERY old news but I see no point in this thread continuing unless people have some clue what they are talking about, and even then then......I see no point....

@Finn, no worries. I posted Victors original statement here because it was new to me and alot of other people aperently. I think its an important subject for discussion and relevent to this forum. If you read my posts carfully you\'ll see that I was never critsizing anyone\'s opinions or ideas, only adding my own. (i thought thats what this forum is for)

I clocked the pics in Rev\'s e-mail too this morning. Guess it was a nice paintjob, though far too \'busy\' looking with all the pointless freehand everywhere. Had the same effect as camouflage really, broke up the outline of the model far too much. The banner was well done, though had nothing to do with the 40k universe what so ever. if he\'d 40k\'d it up a bit more maybe it wouldn\'t have been dropped from the competition?!
Hardly made me fall to my knees and weep at it\'s beauty.

I shouldn\'t really have bitten your head off quite that quickly....
I am just a bit hacked off that we are all having a ruck, which is nice, but most of us don\'t know what we are having a ruck about.....(I do now, thanks to Neil) and I do respect Victor\'s wish that we shouldn\'t post his pics...however, I am also of the mind that we shouldn\'t be promoting his words either.....It\'s one or the other...you can\'t have it both ways...
