Cheers for the nice comments. It is not my best by a long chalk the modding was dreadful definately the end of a run on that mold but I enjoyed painting it and it has lots of character; doesn't have to be a shoe piece every time.

Right having a chat with Lee about his current Ilyad mini I realised that I actually had one my self bought it for 90p off eBay can't argue with that eh? So I'm giving it a go. I'm going to break up the helmet with some gold elements I think there is too much steel at the moment.

Might be the photos mate but the Green shine of the eyes looks brighter than the eyes themselves, drawing the focus away. Fix it now !

you're off to a good start there mate. i'm not sure if it's the photo or my monitor neding a clean but it looks like you might have a bit of a rough highlight or two on the steel helmet

Looking really cool, especially the torso armor. What a strange-looking mini!
It looks to me as if the steel on the helmet is less green/less yellow, or just more neutral. I guess I would say that it looks less oily. Not sure if that's by design, but it caught my eye.

Er no yellow or green on the mini so probably camera or reflected light.

thanks MNB and ST (I was going to put a d on the end there for like the end of the toad bit and then thought better of it).

Anyway rushing away at this IM IN NMM HEAVEN! I love this mini and I've decided metal is what I love so loads more minis with shed loads of full plate etc from now on

Well you make NMM look fabulous - this coming from someone who isn't necessarily a fan of the general look it produces. Glad to hear you may have found your painting niche.
