What a bad moment, sorry for the incident at Salute, they should have given you at least a free entry for the next year or something similar as an apologise :(
Congratulations anyway for the finalist medals... and nice start on the Straken.

I made it worse my cheering before realising the cock up :(
Your right on the money with your painting mate, I reckon next year for sure.

Sorry to hear about the screw up at Salute. That sounds just terrible. Don't let it dent your enthusiasm, man, you've been painting great of late!
I'll be eager to see what you come up with as a setting for such a dynamic figure as Straken.

Very fed up with the Salute comp they had an oscars moment and announced me as the gold winner for single fantasy with the big black sun barbarian only to realise they had made a mix up with the tickets. Talk about a slap in the face I sulked all the way home. As it was I came away with three finalists medals nice but it isn't a gold not sure if I'll bother with salute next year.
Really sorry to hear about this Andy, must be a kick to the guts for this to happen to you.
Please don't let this put you off going to Salute.

Rrally liking the metal on this mate.

Pick yourself up dust off and get back in salute cause you've be cutting yourself out of all those other potential gold medals you'll be earning in years to come!!!;)

Cheers guys. Well I think there's a positive side to this as my mojo is back painting more of the metal. Da big choppa getting the bling treatment now.

Absolutely yes. The base is going to be an alien jungle scene so lots of greens to be reflected in it for sure. Trying to subtly work some in now.

Real impressed with the article mate, very detailed and informative.
Good to see you didn't forget the true genious behind the duel, namely Mr 10 ball and the shield that steals the show :)

Very interesting article Andy, index to give it a proper read later but I'm glad you touched on the shading of cold colours because it always sends me in a circular argument in my head about how to go about it (shadows should be cold colours... But the contrast colour is warm... But cold...warm....cold....warm! and on and on it goes) going to read it thoroughly so I can take it in properly later on :)

Bit more done I must say the scale 75 greens are nice paints first time using them. Gone for a textured look.
